As a Senior Project Manager at Walker, you'll join Walker's consulting services team.  You will be asked to manage a portfolio of client projects from start to finish.  You will work directly with clients, internal project teams, and state-of-the-art technology.

 

Duties: Responsibilities Include:
  • Execute complex projects autonomously - with minimal to no support of VP.  Must meet deadlines for all projects.
  • Prepare agendas and conduct regular status meetings with clients and internal teams, effectively assess and mitigate risks by leveraging team resources
  • Project schedule development and management;  task management with internal project team and clients
  • Monthly financial reviews and reporting;  coordinate invoicing
  • Effectively define and communicate team roles and responsibilities. 
  • Sample Planning - Work with Database Analyst & Marketing Science teams to implement plan and consult on complex sample plans
  • Survey Development - Survey design (with support), preparation of programming documentation, coordination of QA efforts, client communication
  • Data Collection - Monitor data collection and discuss status and representativeness with client;  also use non-survey data for analytics and reporting plans
  • Analytics - Collaborate with Marketing Sciences and VP to design analysis plan, conduct review of analytic findings, communicate findings to clients (with support), and support on projects involving advanced analysis techniques
  • Reporting - Prepare reports ranging from management summary reports to scorecards.  Coordinate the design of the template, document needs/specifications, write findings and share in client presentation responsibilities
  • Technology - Work with Information Solutions PM and client to define client needs, define client user communities, create information dissemination plan, design dashboards, and conduct trainings.  Use BI tool and additional proprietary software for data mining and reporting purposes on client projects
  • Determine client needs and requirements, effectively position Walker solutions and capabilities with clients
  • Act as a subject matter expert on process management. Participate in improvement initiatives and training initiatives.
  • Mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
  • Negotiate pricing and scheduling with clients and internal resources.
  • Responsible for ensuring financial success of program.
  • Performs checks as needed with minimal internal errors or rework and error-free client deliverables.
Qualifications:

Background and Experience Should Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, Psychology, Sociology or related field.  Master's
    degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of related experience managing projects, schedules, team members, and interacting directly with clients on consulting or market research-oriented projects
  • Strong client service skillset demonstrated through a positive track record of client retention and growth
  • Knowledge of basic statistics;  detail orientation and comfort working with data
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office Products; project management software skills a plus
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task to meet aggressive client deadlines
  • Clearly articulate thoughts through written and verbal expression
